Area Tops 20” Of Snow In April

A state-wide winter storm rolled across the entire state late last week. Snow started to fall on Wednesday, April 1 and fell throughout most of Friday and into the early morning hours of Sat., April 4. When the system exited the area the remnants were roughly 20.5” of snow, along with a little rain, as recorded by Napoleon Weather Observer, Clark Haas.

Friday and early Saturday travel was difficult, due to the heavy wet snow. However, by noon on Saturday most of the roadways were cleared and travel conditions had improved.
