Candidates File For June Election

The Monday, April 6 filing deadline has passed for the upcoming June county, city and school elections which will be held Tues., June 9, 2026.
Logan County: 1 commissioner position (4-yr term), currently held by Blanche Schumacher; County Treasurer (4-yr term), currently held by Jody Kristiansen; County Recorder (4-yr term), currently held by Laura Henry; County Sheriff (4-yr term), currently held by Andrew Bartholomaus.
The official county newspaper will also be on the ballot, which is currently held by The Napoleon Homestead.
As of Monday, April 6, those filing for county positions include: treasurer – Jody Kristiansen, Commissioner – Blanche Schumacher and Cole Johnson, recorder – Laura Henry, sheriff – Andrew Bartholomaus and Kyle Friez, official newspaper - Napoleon Homestead.
City of Napoleon: 3 city council positions (4-yr terms) - currently held by Bob Humann, Rich Bjerklie and John Wald; 2 Napoleon Park Board members (4-yr terms) - currently held by Mary Schwartzenberger and Kevin Wolf. Auditor Cor Fettig reported receiving filing applications from Humann, Darcy Piatz and Norman Kleppe for council and Schwartzenberger and Wolf for park board.
