Commissioners Hear From Health Unit

The Logan County Commissioners met for their regular monthly meeting last Wednesday, May 13, with a couple guests in attendance. Three reps from Central Valley Health District were on hand to discuss a review with all commissioners; Chairman John Wald, Blanche Schumacher and Bryan Batsch. The trio discussed the District’s yearly financial report, along with other information. They said everything is down a little from the previous year. “It’s been harder since the Covid money is gone now. We are trying for any grants we can,” they noted. 

Commissioners held an opening of bids for the county IH tractor with loader. Auditor Jody Kristiansen noted there was one bid from Randy Binstock for $1,800. Commissioners approved the sale to Binstock. 

Schumacher gave Handbook updates given to Kristiansen as additions to the County’s handbook discussed last month, along with information on if an employee receives a tip. Kristiansen said she doesn’t remember commissioners discussing some of the updates. Schumacher said . . .
