The Napoleon Public School Board members met for their regular meeting last Monday morning, June 22, when three board members were present; President Taylor Grunefelder, Corey Schumacher and Derrick Leier, along with administration; Superintendent Rich Bjerklie, 7-12 Principal/AD Chad Berger and Elem. Principal Whitney Weigel; not present included board members Tori Gross and Shawn Puklich.
Principal Weigel presented research on an elementary reading curriculum for a totaled quote of $54,497.99. She suggested the purchase of two separate curriculums: K-2nd grade and 3rd-6th grade. Weigel noted the curriculums are not locked in for a certain number of years. The board approved the purchase of the new reading curriculum, along with the renewal of the IXL learning platform for $14,625.
Bjerklie said the school found a counselor and presented the contract for approval. The board approved. . .
