New Housing Options In Napoleon

Renovations have started at the former Napoleon Care Center and Assisted Living establishment on 4th Street East in Napoleon Business partners and Napoleonites, Nick Breidenbach and Paul Bitz, along with a few community members, purchased the property from the NCC, DBA Wentz Living Center Board of Directors. 

The nursing home and assisted living residents moved to the new Wentz Living Center 555 Lake Avenue East in Napoleon in August of 2023 and the former establishment then remained vacant, until the assisted living part became apartments for a select age community.  Some of the NCC rooms had been converted to storage units, another wing of the facility converted into apartments and part of the building remained vacant. 

The duo and community members agreed to purchase the former NCC on March 19, 2026 which happens to be St. Jospeh’s Feast Day (honoring Saint Joseph and celebrated by Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, and other Christian denominations globally). The group also held their purchase closing date on May 1, which lands on feast day of St. Joseph the Worker, and is known as the patron saint of houses and dwellings. Breidenbach said it couldn’t have been more fitting to name the new place of purchase, “St. Joseph’s Village”.
