School Discusses Rates, Routes & Naming Rights

Napoleon School Board members gathered Monday morning, September 14, for their regular monthly meeting. Those in attendance for the half hour meeting included Vice President Tori Gross, board members Shawn Puklich, Corey Schumacher, Derrick Leier, along with Superintendent Rich Bjerklie and K-6 Principal Whitney Weigel, while President Taylor Grunefelder was absent, along with 7-12 Principal/AD Chad Berger, as he was attending a conference.
The board discussed the rates for a new vault door. Bjerklie noted the door needs to be a specialty/customized door for the vault. He said it will need to be replaced, as the current one has fallen in. After discussion the board approved the new vault door purchase for $16,520.
Three school bus routes were approved, while three still need to be driven by a couple board members.
Bjerklie reported more on the local Farmer’s Union Insurance wanting to sponsor the football field and have naming rights on the sponsor board. The board previously discussed the naming rights, but Bjerklie said. . .
