January 7, 2026

After scoring only 3 first quarter points, the Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter boys’ basketball team came back with 27 second quarter points to help lift them to a 64-46 win over Enderlin.

The Imperials were on the road last Fri., Jan. 2 where they picked up their first win of the season.

In the first quarter of play the Eagles jumped out to an 11-0 lead before junior Brenden Zenker dropped in a field goal for NGS at the 2:08 mark of the first quarter. The only other point for the Imperials came on a free toss by junior Jackson Piatz later in the quarter, as NGS trailed 3-15 after the first 8 minutes.

In the second frame NGS head coach Logan Klitzke and his squad applied full court pressure which created Enderlin turnovers and opportunities for the Imperials. Five Imperials reached the scoring line in this frame, as the Imperials went on a 27-6 second quarter run as they jumped out in front and never looked back. NGS held a 30-21 lead at intermission.

After the break both teams had their offenses going in the third quarter. The Imperials extended the margin with hustle, and . . .
