Imperials Fall In Season Opener
A strong second quarter, 34 points, propelled the Glen Ullin/Hebron boys’ basketball team past the Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter Imperials 75-48. The two teams matched up as part of the Linton Shoot Out on Sat., Dec. 14 in Linton.
Imperial head coach Logan Klitzke and his squad managed to jump out to a 14-10 first quarter lead. However, in the second frame, the Bearcats went off to score 34, while the Imperials only managed 13, as NGS found themselves trailing 27-44. After intermission the Imperials were once again outscored as they trailed 37-60 with eight minutes to play. In the final frame the Bearcats offense continued to roll as they notched 15, compared to the Imperials netting11, as NGS lost 48-75.
