Parent’s Night Held For Volleyball Team
As the volleyball season nears the midway point of the season, the Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter Imperials hosted parent’s night last Tues., Sept. 23. A night when the sport participants are all recognized.
The locals played host to Medina-Pingree/Buchanan in the District 2 matchup. The first two sets had the Imperials off to a slow start, but the third set proved exciting as MPB came away with a 3-0 win.
In the first set NGS hung with MPB early, trailing 7-8 before the Thunder went on a scoring spree to hold an 11-18 lead and cruise to a 12-25 first set win.
The second set had the Imperials start a bit stronger as they held a 7-6 lead, first lead for NGS on the night. Once again, the Thunder went on a roll to jump out in front 12-19 before closing out the second set 16-25.
