Schneider Is Rotary Champ & MVP;
The Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter girls wrestling team was one of 36 teams entered in the 2025 Bismarck Rotary Wrestling Tournament. The 2-day tournament, Fri., Jan. 10 and Sat., Jan. 11 at the Bismarck Event Center had wresters from North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana.
Imperial senior Alexis Schneider entered the 124 lb. weight class with a perfect 29-0 record as she pinned her way to a Rotary title and also being named the tournament MVP for the sec second year in a row and a 3-time tournament champion. The lone other placer on the weekend to place for NGS head coach Chris Weigel was freshman Adisyn Zubke who placed 7th at 136 lbs. The Imperials had five other wrestlers compete, but did not place: Bailee Renfro (100), Brandi Weigel (112), Elise Kristiansen (118), Isabella Kristiansen (118) and Shylo Bjerklie (136).
