Imperials Win South Border Invite

The Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter boys’ golf team captured the team title at the South Border Invite on Sat., May 4 in Ashley. The Imperials carded a 333, edging the only other team, Edgeley-Kulm who had. 364.
Imperial head coach Kelly McCleary and his squad of five all placed in the top ten, with four NGS golfers in the top five. NGS senior Carter Haas was the tournament medalist with a 73 (39-34) while junior Eli Ketterling was runner up with an 82 (41-41). Freshman Jackson Piatz was fourth with an 89 (44-45) and junior Hunter Grenz came in fifth with an 89 (45-44). Senior Braxton Ryum rounded out the Imperial scoring by placing 9th with a 94 (48-46).
