Football Numbers Increase By 9

The Imperials are back on the field and ready for Friday night lights, as the 2026 N/G-S football season kicked off last week, with the first practice.
Second year Head Coach Jamison Fettig reported an increase of nine out for football this year, with 26 athletes on the roster, grades 9-12.
This year the team sports five senior athletes, while the team lost two seniors due to graduation last year.
“We are most excited about returning a lot of kids after having a great season and losing two seniors last year; had a bunch of kids with a lot of experience and looking forward to seeing it show,” noted Fettig.
Last year the team lost in the quarterfinals game of playoffs and finished with a record of 8-3. The team’s first game is scheduled for Saturday, August 22 against Beach in Mandan, while the first home game is Friday, August 28 against. . .
