Imperials Win 3-1 At The Home Net
The Napoleon High School Gym was the site of the Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter first home girls’ volleyball match of the 2026 season. Imperial fans were out in abundance and creating a loud atmosphere for the hometown ladies.
Local fans weren’t disappointed as the Imperials picked up a 3-1 match win over the Center-Stanton Wildcats last Tues., Sept. 1.
In the first set NGS head coach Kali Fettig and her squad came out strong as they managed to double up on the visitors to hold a 12-6 lead. The Imperial offense was rolling in this set as they padded the margin to hold a 22-12 lead before going on to win the first set 25-12.
The second set the momentum swung to the Wildcats as they jumped out to a 1-4 lead, a lead they held throughout the early stages as they led 7-8 before the Imperials went on a mini-run to hold a 11-8 lead, and never looked back. NGS held a 19-13 lead later in the contest before going on to win the second set 25-20.
